Dan-Viljoen-Game Reservation
founded in 1962
This park lies 25 km west from Windhoek in the Khomas-Highlands. It includes 4.000 ha. Zebras, Blue wildebeests, Gemsboks, Kudus, Springboks, Ostrichs and Chacma baboons you can watch there. The dam is a very good area to watch birds. There are several places for grilling for day-visitors at the storage lake.
You can use the nice Camping-site or the Rondavels to stay there near Windhoek. Wood for fire you can buy at the park administration.
One of the most beautiful route to get an impression of the farming land and to make fotos of fantastic sunsets, is the street to Rehoboth or the so named "Aris"-route.
